Hunter Haglund graduated from Lufkin High School in 2001. In 2006, he completed his education at The University of Texas at Austin with a BS in Sport Management. Prior to becoming the President of Evergreen Benefits Group, Hunter was the VP at Friesen-Strain Insurance Associates for over 9 years. Prior to his time at FSI, Hunter spent four years as a producer for an independent insurance agency in Lufkin, TX selling Life & Health as well as Property & Casualty. Hunter earned the CIC designation (Certified Insurance Counselor) in 2014. He is also “ACA Certified” by the National Health Underwriters Association, and he is a member of the local East Texas Health Underwriters chapter. He is currently serving on the Crown Colony Improvement Association (CCIA) board and recently served as the board President. In addition to the CCIA board, Hunter is also a member of the Lufkin Little League Baseball board and is currently serving as the Assistant District Administrator for Little League District 10 in the Texas East State Region. Recently he served as the Campaign Chairman and Board President for the United Way of Angelina County. He also recently served as the board President for the Lufkin ISD Education Foundation board as well as the I.D. & Marguerite Fairchild Foundation board. Hunter and his wife Leeanne, have four children: Preston, William, Hannah & Patrick.
